Jennifer Lopez hit the movie promotion trail in New York yesterday promoting her new movie The Back-Up Plan and it seems she’s on a one women crusade to try to change attitudes towards ageing stars.
Having turned 40 this year, Jennifer was quoted as saying: 'It is a great time to be an actress. It seems like you can work and do anything at any age. It's a great time that people are just seeing people's souls. It's not so superficial anymore".
Jennifer may be referring to positive recent exposure of older female actresses and how they seem to be finding there place back on the big screen and television. This new media wave trend seems to portray women of a certain age as really sexy powerful women who always get what they want.

Dr Nirdosh says “There's no denying Jennifer’s a women who probably has little ageing woes, as not many women turn 40 and ooze sex appeal as she does, however she may just be instigating a new attitute to ensure that her aging clock doesn’t hamper her career in the future. Good move I say, and it’s a shame a few more celebs aren’t so vocal"
As Jennifer puts it: 'Women have proven that they are viable in this business, as well, and it doesn't matter if you're not 21 years old. It just matters that you're great at what you do. And that's exciting.'
